How to join or renew your membership of the UK Association for Buddhist Studies

Membership is paid directly to UKABS. Payment methods include Paypal, bank transfer – national or international, and a sterling cheque drawn on a UK bank. We regret we are unable to accept payment by standing order or by a non-sterling cheque. For our bank account details or if you have any queries please contact the Treasurer / Membership Secretary at: [email protected].

Please note that membership is for one calendar year, and therefore that your membership will expire in December. If you join or renew after the journal has been sent out then back issues for the year will be sent to you.

Payment option 1: Pay through Paypal – use your own Paypal account or a debit card. Please make sure you enter your name, institution (where relevant) and preferred email and postal addresses when prompted. To begin, simply select the appropriate membership category below, and the link will take you to PayPal.

Payment option 2: Bank transfer – please email [email protected] for the account details. We can accept international bank transfers, but please contact us first to agree the arrangements. Western Union provides this service for a reasonable fee, unlike many actual banks.

Payment option 3: Sterling cheque drawn on a UK bank – made out to the UK Association for Buddhist Studies. Contact [email protected] for the mailing address. Please include your choice of membership option (online or paper copy) and your contact details (full name, address, email address).
